As I stare into your precious eyes,
I now see why waiting was so wise.
While thoughts rattle through my mind,
I see my future rewind.
I see the trick of giving away
Everything I hold to this day.
My heart races as you look down at my hand,
My wedding finger still holds the band.
My wedding finger still holds the band.
It symbolizes my vow to you,
That purity is the life I always knew.
The next words ring so true,
As you look to me and say "I do".
You take the ring off my hand,
And replace it with a wedding band.
I repeat every vow and thank God for the man He's placed in my life.
He's blessed me so much in making me your wife.
Our first kiss ever, we give to each other.
As we walk down the isle we begin our life with one another.
I thank God for helping us save this perfect gift for our wedding day.
Just so you know, the ring that I talk about in the poem is actually a purity ring that I have on my finger that says "Vow Of Purity".
