This is a question many teenagers have trouble with. Some teenagers will set boundaries and try there hardest to keep there purity but without Christ's help you can't get anywhere! The first step to stay pure for your future mate would be to ask for God's guidance. You need God's help or you're going to mess up no matter how hard you try! Ask for His help when you're having some hard times or just need some advice. Next, you need to sit down and make boundaries for yourself! Remember to set your boundaries high so you won't mess up the first time and can't stop anything! My advice is to save EVERYTHING, even your first kiss for marriage. Imagine telling your Husband or Wife that your love for them was sooooooooo deep that he/she was the only person that meant so much to them!! Think about it, if someone told you that they thought that you were so important that they saved even their first kiss for you, you would realize how much this person really loved you! I think something that helps is to have someone of the same sex sit down with you and both of you promise to help each other (be accountable)! I find it much easier not to fall into temptation when my friend is with me to help me. Although, you are not always going to have that friend everywhere you go that is why you must stay strong and confident that you are going to stay pure and wait no matter what! You should also not allow yourself to fall into temptations. The things you do and wear can cause problems for you sometimes...For an example, Never let yourself be alone with someone of the opposite sex! Imagine the difficulty of trying to find a way out once you have gone into a room and shut the door- finding yourself ALONE and an easy "prey" for that person or even your own temptations!!! Also, the clothes that you wear can effect your temptations and cause impure thoughts. An example of this would be- for girls, low-cut shirts, short shirts, short (mini) skirts, and even low-rise jeans worn with a shirt that is too short (belly-shirt)...For guys- pants that are too big and not wearing a belt so that they droop or fall off of your waist. Part of purity is keeping even your mind and thoughts pure and holy and staying FAR away from temptations!! (1Thessalonians 5:22- "Abstain from every form of evil"). Our hearts are evil and the only way to change them into pure and good is to trust it into Christ's hands. Repent and turn from your sins! Give HIM your heart, mind, soul and even your body!! It is totally possible to stay pure for your future "Forever-Mate" if you have Christ in your life!! HE is the only way that it can be possible!!
