The Perfect Gift

This is a poem that I wrote for my "Future Husband"- whoever that might be (lol) :) Just thought I might share it with ya! This is actually just one of many poems and letters that I've written to "him". He'll have plenty to read!!
As I stare into your precious eyes,
I now see why waiting was so wise.
While thoughts rattle through my mind,
I see my future rewind.
I see the trick of giving away
Everything I hold to this day.
My heart races as you look down at my hand,
My wedding finger still holds the band.
It symbolizes my vow to you,
That purity is the life I always knew.
The next words ring so true,
As you look to me and say "I do".
You take the ring off my hand,
And replace it with a wedding band.
I repeat every vow and thank God for the man He's placed in my life.
He's blessed me so much in making me your wife.
Our first kiss ever, we give to each other.
As we walk down the isle we begin our life with one another.
I thank God for helping us save this perfect gift for our wedding day.
Just so you know, the ring that I talk about in the poem is actually a purity ring that I have on my finger that says "Vow Of Purity".

A Letter Sent To "Rebecca St. James"

Hey, everyone!!! I just wanted to post an email I recently wrote to my favorite singer, Rebecca St. James. I'm worried about her message "You Are Loved". I have nothing against this song other than the fact that she doesn't tell us that we are "enemies of God", that we all have a sinful heart, and are going to Hell if we don't repent. THEN, and only then can you say "You Are Loved" because Jesus came and died on the cross for our sinful heart. I loooooooove Rebecca's music and love that she stands for purity, and I totally look up to her. And, I know that we are REALLY loved by God, BUT unrepentant sinners don't understand why. They don't see a need for the Savior and therefore want nothing to do with Him. I'm praying that she will read it and look into the Bible. I pray that you will be touched. Here's what I wrote (completely and fully out of LOVE!!)

If the Bible says so much about sin, judgment, and that God is angry with the wicked everyday (Psalm 7:11), then why are we just telling people that God loves them? Why aren't we telling them the truth? God's wrath is expressed all throughout the Bible. Acts 17:30-31 "...but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness..." John 3:36 "...and He who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." Romans 2:5 "But in accordance with your hardness and your unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath..." Also, Ezekiel 18:4, Matthew 12:36, 1 Cor. 6:9-10, Luke 16:15, 1 John 3:4, Romans 1:18-21, Romans 4:15, Romans 5:10, Ephesians 5:6, and Colossians 3:6. And these are not all of the verses. Yes, God is angry with sin. And He should be angry because His very own creation sinned against His holy and just character. What exactly is sin? 1 John 3:4 states that "sin is transgression of the law." What law? The Ten Commandments! We need to show people their need for the Savior. We don't know when someone is going to die. In fact, one of my friends, only 14 years old, just died about two weeks ago. We can go around loving people all we want. But unless they see that they've offended a holy God, they'll end up in Hell. How have they offended God? By breaking the Ten Comm.! Jesus and the apostles showed people that they had sinned. And they used the Ten Comm. to show them their sin. It says in Romans 7:7 "I have not known sin but by the law". Romans 19:7 says "the law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul". They used the law in Luke 18:18-27, Mark 10:17-22, Matt. 19:16-22, John 4:1-18, Luke 10, Matt. 15, etc. If we're supposed to follow in Christ's footsteps then we also need to be showing people their sins. Do you consider yourself to be a good person? Do you want to take the "Good Person" test to see if you are? If you think you are, I'm pretty sure you're ready to take this test to prove once and for all that you are a good person. R u ready? Let's look at the Law to see how you line up. I'm going to take you to the most just and right law there is, the Ten Commandments.
First, let's go to the 9th commandment, "Thou shall not lie". Have you ever told a lie? It doesn't matter if it was just a small lie or a lie to make someone feel better, no matter what, it's still a lie. This would make me and you a liar. Now, let's go to the 8th comm., "Thou shall not steal". Have you ever stolen anything? No matter if it was small, how much it was worth, or how young you were, it's still stealing. (Examples of items: paper clip, penny, eraser, pen, pencil, etc.) If you've stolen it makes you a thief. Next, let's go to the 3rd commandment, (This is the one that got me the most!) "Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain". Have you ever taken God's name in vain? This includes saying "God" when you stub your finger or hurt yourself. This sin is called blasphemy and it's a very serious sin. Blasphemy is taking the very God who gave you life and making His name lower than it is. Next, let's go to the 6th commandment, "Thou shall not kill." Jesus says that if you've hated someone you're considered a murder. (1 John 3:15) This would obviously make us a murder. Lastly, let's go to the 7th commandment, "Thou shall not commit adultery". Now, we all think that we've kept that one, but Jesus takes it a step farther and says "If you look at someone with lust you've committed adultery with them in your heart". (This verse is found in Matthew 5:28-29) Have you ever looked with lust? This includes looking at someone to want them. This makes you an adulterer. By your own admission you are a lying, thieving, blasphemer, murder, and adulterous at heart, and we only looked at five of the ten commandments.
This is definitely bad news because one day, whether we believe it or not, we are going to die and stand before a holy and just God. On that day, when you are standing before God, do you think you will be innocent or guilty? It says in the Bible that God is angry with sin. (John 3:36 "...and He who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." Romans 2:5 "But in accordance with your hardness and your unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath..." Also, Ezekiel 18:4, Matthew 12:36, 1 Cor. 6:9-10, Luke 16:15, 1 John 3:4, Romans 1:18-21, Romans 4:15, Romans 5:10, Ephesians 5:6, and Colossians 3:6.) Let your conscience speak to you, remember that you have just admitted to all of these sins. We all will be guilty! So, knowing this, do you think you'll go to Heaven or Hell? (Note these verses: Revelation 21:8-"all liars will have there part in the lake of fire.", Exodus 20:7-"God will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.", and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10) Again, let your conscience speak to you.
Some arguments people might say are "God is a good God, He'll forgive me", or "I did all that a long time ago, I'm a good person now.". Let me take you to a court room scenario. Say that someone had just stolen 2 million dollars, 5 years ago, and the law finally caught them. They're standing before the judge and they say "Judge, you're a good judge, you'll forgive me and let me go won't you? After all, it was 5 years ago and I gave some of that money to the poor." What do you think the judge should do? He shouldn't let him go, justice needs to be served. He would be a corrupt judge if he let him go. His crime is not based upon what he did with the money but that he stole it. You see, justice must be served to those who have committed a crime. You may say "That's just an earthly judge. God is so much more loving." You know, you're right. That means that God must punish sin once and for all. After all, He's much more Holy and Just. By this, we know that we're all headed towards Hell! Please listen to me and don't take this lightly. I care about your eternal destiny so much. (Note the word ETERNAL, this isn't just talking about the death that happens on earth, this is for eternity!) I don't want you to end up in Hell, and neither does God. That's why 2000 years ago God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, the God-man, who lived a sinless life, to die for your sins. He bled and died on the cross for your lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterous, and murderous heart. Why did He do that? Because He loved you. He had no reason to love us but yet He did. All of the wrath that we were storing up for ourselves was poured out on Christ at the cross. For God to be just and righteous He had to punish sin. Instead of leaving us in the helpless state we were in, He sent His Son, as our second chance. Remember the man who stole the 2 million dollars? Well, he was being led off to prison when all of a sudden someone he didn't even know stepped in and paid his fine. Now the man's free to go, for justice has been satisfied. That's what Jesus did for us on the cross. It's like this: We broke the law, but Jesus paid our fine. And He didn't stay on the cross. 3 days later He arose and defeated Hell, death, and the grave! That's awesome news! Isaiah 53:5 "He was wounded for our transgressions (sin), He was bruised for our iniquity...and by His stripes we are healed." (Also, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:3-4, Romans 5:7-10, Romans 5:20, 1 Cor. 15:3-4, and many more!) Jesus did His part on the cross, but now He commands us to do something. We must REPENT and turn away from our sin. (Acts 17:30-31 "...but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness...") And trust in God like you would trust a parachute. If you're going to jump out of an airplane, you wouldn't just believe in the parachute. You would put it on. It's the same with Christ. We must "put on" the Lord to save us from the jump to come (Hell), because even the devil believes in Jesus and trembles. (James 2:19) If we cry out to God for mercy He will change our hearts and make us a new creature. We can overcome sin through Him. (1 John 4:4) To those of you who are reading this that haven't repented and turned completely away from your sins. Then cry out to God. He will give you mercy and show you love. Read Psalm 51. It's a cry for mercy and a prayer of salvation. Continue to read the Bible. Read your Bible daily and obey its truths!

Good and Bad News!

I have some really great news and yet some really bad news! First, do you consider yourself to be a good person? Do you want to take the "Good Person" test to see if you are? If you think you are, I'm pretty sure you're ready to take this test to prove once and for all that you are a good person. R u ready? Let's look at the Law to see how you line up. I'm going to take you to the most just and right law there is, the Ten Commandments. (Well, here comes the bad news.) First, let's go to the 9th commandment, "Thou shall not lie". Have you ever told a lie? It doesn't matter if it was just a small lie or a lie to make someone feel better, no matter what, it's still a lie. I'm pretty sure that everyone is saying "Yes." to this question, and if not please check again. Now, let's go to the 8th commandment, "Thou shall not steal". Have you ever stolen anything? No matter if it was small, how much it was worth, or how young you were, it's still stealing. (Examples of items: paper clip, penny, eraser, pen, pencil, etc.) So, everyone should be guilty of stealing. If you admitted to these sins you are, by your own admission, a lying, thieving, adulterous, and blasphemer at heart, and we only looked at four of the ten commandments. If you didn't admit to these please look over them and let your conscience tell you. This is definitely bad news because one day, whether we believe it or not, we are going to die and stand before a holy and just God. On that day, when you are standing before God, do you think you will be innocent or guilty? Let your conscience speak to you, remember that you have just admitted to all of these sins. We all will be guilty! So, knowing this, do you think you'll go to Heaven or Hell? Again, let your conscience speak to you. Some arguments people might say are "God is a good God, He'll forgive me", or "I did all that a long time ago, I'm a good person now.". Let me take you to a court room senario. Say that someone had just murdered someone 5 years ago and the law finally caught them. They're standing before the judge and they say "Judge, you're a good judge, you'll forgive me and let me go won't you? After all, it was 5 years ago." What do you think the judge should do? He shouldn't let him go, justice needs to be served. What if down the road, the murderer decides that since the judge let him go, he'll just go kill someone again and maybe the judge will let him go again. You see, justice must be served to those who have committed a crime. You may say "That's just an earthly judge. God is so much nicer." You know, you're right. That means that God must punish sin once and for all. After all, He's holier and more just. I think about now you're ready to hear some good news. Well, here it is. 2000 years ago God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth, to die for us that we may receive eternal life in Heaven. Jesus lived a total sinless life, and died upon a cross to take your punishment. It's as simple as this, "you did the crime, and Jesus paid the fine". Without Him, you would have no hope. You would end up in Hell with no where to turn. God didn't have to send His Son, and Jesus didn't have to come down. It's so amazing that a holy and just God who didn't need us at all, wanted us. He was wounded for our transgressions (sins), He was bruised for our iniquities... And by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) You should be forever grateful for Jesus because He did this for you. God asks us to give our lives to Him. Not just a little bit, but all of it. He doesn't just want us to confess our sins, but He wants us to repent and forsake them. We must turn away from our sins. We must lay down all of our sins upon His feet and take up His love and care. We must remember this verse that is used so much, John 3:16- "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
